Same boat. The most important and memorable things learned, especially in elementary grades, are from things outside of the “lesson”.

It should really be something that is implemented at more schools. Some of the most important stuff I learned in school wasn’t from the material in the books, but from the occasional glimpses into my teacher’s lives when they revealed their own success strategies and life approaches.
